Inspired by the success of The Son of a Duck is a Floater , Apricots Tomorrow and Unload your own Donkey, this gathering of Italian proverbs is intended to bring to its readers a smile of recognition from the discovery of a pooled aphoristic wit.
Each proverb is given a literal translation and an English equivalent. These are sometimes identical, perhaps because of their Biblical or Latin origin, sometimes they are bizarrely askance as the title illustrates.

| Christopher Arnander - Christopher Arnander spent his career in finance, much of it in the Middle East. He is a Fellow and former Councillor of the Royal College of Music. Author of Think Globally Spend Locally www.thinkglobally.co.uk.
Ilia Terzulli Warner - lia was born in Puglia and married the bookseller Plum Warner (son of the famous cricketer) in 1944. She settled in Cambridge after periods in Cairo and Brussels, and produced two daughters who pursued their own writing careers.
Kathryn Lamb - Kathryn Lamb has drawn cartoons for the The Times, Telegraph, The Oldie, Guardian and Spectator. She has had several exhibitions and two books of sheep cartoons published. Her cartoons are sold in the Cartoon Gallery, London. Pavilions in the Air is her latest collaboration with Christopher Arnander, following the success of You Can’t Get Blood out of a Turnip.
