The Business Travellers' Handbook to Russia

Today, in 2008, Russia has 14 cities that are home to a million or more people. This fact alone is testimony to the extent to which Russia is both a major player in the world's economy and little understood.

In just a few years, Russia has gone from being a world power in the making, to an undisputed key player on the global scene. As one of the four BRIC emerging markets, Russia's importance for world business cannot be overlooked any longer.
Chris Gilbert - Chris Gilbert is the Russia Director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, dividing his time between the Chamber's offices in Moscow and St Petersburg, and travelling regularly to Russia's major regional cities. A business development specialist with extensive experience of working with Russia and the Former Soviet Union, he first travelled to Moscow in the early 1990s, spending a year there just as the country was beginning its transition to a free market economy. A fluent Russian speaker, Gilbert regularly contributes articles to both Russian and international business publications, as well as appearing on local and national radio and television.

Evgeny Primakov - Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation
